European Commission Horizon 2020
Synvertec is a proud participant in Horizon 2020, the European Commission's largest research and innovation program. Synvertec's operations are an integral part of Horizon 2020's ‘stimulating the innovation potential of SMEs for a low carbon and efficient energy system' area of interest.
The Horizon 2020 program has helped initiate the Synchronverter project, which is coordinated by Synvertec and includes two partnering companies from Germany: Solutronic Energy GmbH and Q3 Energie.
The objective of the Synchronverter project is to complete the construction of an initial product (an inverter with Synvertec’s control unit), while also conducting product integration and demonstration in an operational environment. The ultimate goal is to transition from a demonstrated technology to a fully commercialized product.
Each company plays a crucial role in the Synchronverter project: Synvertec provides the innovation in form of an IP algorithm; Solutronic Energy manufactures the inverters; Q3 Energie is responsible for product distribution.
